This is a very special motor assembly.
It's been specifically modified to replace the earliest Currie (MAC/BMC)
USPD motors
which are no longer available. No other modern motors are plug-n-play with this
dual chain drive.
The
motor face has been machined to sit flat against the drive plate like the
original. Rotation has been wired
for clockwise operation. A machined steel adapter has been welded to a new 11
tooth sprocket and pinned
to the motor shaft in the exact position required to engage the primary chain.
